Debate over the safety of Wi-Fi in schools is on hold now that the Waterloo Region District School Board plans to upload the controversy to its parent organization.
The public board voted down a proposal by Cambridge trustee Cindy Watson requesting that the district form a committee to review possible health effects generated by having Wi-Fi in schools.
Watson argues there isn’t enough long-term evidence to prove that exposure to Wi-Fi frequencies is safe enough to have in all of the district’s schools.
